I have a Blackmagic Intensity Pro card. I am using a HDMI to HDMI with a set-top box. I am looking for an option to be able to watch TV on my PC with this card as well as able to record TV on my PC. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

The BM Intensity will not sync HDCP sources.

I think I remember reading that AmaRecTV can work with the Blackmagic Intensity Pro. http://amamaman.web.infoseek.co.jp/english/amarectv_e.htm
If not, it should still be possible to build a filter graph in Graph Studio for watching TV. Recording TV using a program guide is a different story. I haven't heard that any of the standard guide-based PVR software supports the Blackmagic Intensity Pro as some can support the Hauppauge HD-PVR or Hauppauge Colossus.Last edited by usually_quiet; 22nd Jul 2011 at 19:01. A bit OT but really useful
Thanks for the link usually_quiet I used it to get something else.
There's a pretty robust screen and audio capture app on that site. It lets you capture by sizing a target frame over an area or by selecting a specific target window using the api. The required default codec which must be downloaded separately is really fast but it's watermarked. However there is a setting that allows using another compression codec.
There's not much to do but then I can't do much anyway.
