  3. wget can download an entire page, even entire web sites. You'll then have to sort through everything though.

  4. Thanks..i used the firefox plugin...but i dont know how to get it to download only images..when i select to flashget all..it downloads loads of html files and other things...the only way to get images was to include the option "include images on page" i only want images..Is there not something else// Im sure about 5 years ago i tried a programme that you put in a search term and it found all relevant images pertaining to the subject and it gave you the option to download the ones you wanted or all...

Edit..Thanks Jagaboo...ill give it a quick look and see..but it might take just as long sorting through as it would mme do do individual saves as i am now

  5. orbit can do it too, you can apply a filter e.g. only .jpg images, or .png, jpg for example etc... you can make custom filter rules as well

You need different type of program for this, a webspider that searches different URLs and depths. Something like teleport pro, or offline explorer. I don' t think there are any free programs that do this

  10. That google page can be downloaded in any browser simply by selecting File -> Save Page As (or whatever the particular browser calls it). You'll get the small thumbnail images, not the original large images at the linked to pages.

This is what is referred to as being a bandwidth leech.
Savvy website owners have blocks in place to deny such crap activity on their sites.

A content leech maybe. But it's no more bandwidth than just viewing the site.

Some websites rely on clicks or hits and advertisements for revenue. If you use a spider or downloader program, you bypass that compared to if you browsed it "normally"

lordsmurf - what is your website address again ?

It's not Google's fault. They don't host the images. They just provide a link to where the images are located

Still, I see that as a content leech. You get the content without "paying" for it. I'll grant it's a matter of definition though -- since you do use bandwidth to get the content.

This is one method that can be used to fight it:
Block bad bots (via User Agents) to save bandwidth, protect data, stop site copying

Probably won't 100% deter it, but enough to defeat methods used by the average halfwit.

    This should do it:

    Firefox extension Google Image Help.

Tired of opening every small image in google search by clicking two times to get full sized image. Well the solution is here ....right click on image and select and click 'Open full size google image' to directly get the full sized image in a new tab or even more better....click on open all google images in context menu and mention the pageno in prompt box to get all images of that page in a new tab . This saves a lot of time if you like a considerable number of images on some page and want to download them in their full size.
