I'm running PowerDVD 8 on a Windows 7 Ultimate media centre PC and a Liteon iHOS1045 Blu-ray drive. I've burnt a home movie to a 25Gb blu-ray disc using Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 9, selecting the Sony AVC video format 1440x1081 60i video template.
When I try to play back the disc on the media centre PC I only get audio playback - no video.
Can anyone suggest on how to diagnose this?

I'll start this one off in the hope that someone with more knowldge can assist.

Clutching at straws really but I assume you are trying to watch this on a tv. Does the tv actually support 60i ?. You are in the UK so I would have thought that 50i would have been more appropiate.

The other thought is the software. That version is quite old now and might not support the video codec. I was using Version 8 last week and it completely fell over not only on my newer disks but older ones as well. There was an upgrade on the Cyberlink site but that would not install (I only had an OEM and not a full version). Needed to obtain V10 and even then an update was required.

I've just discovered that I can play back the M2TS file with VLC player (with full video), so clearly the TV isn't the problem.
Mine is also an OEM version so I suspect that upgrading to v10 or above isn't a (free) option, so it looks as if I'll need to un-install it and look for something that works (something more HTPC-friendly than VLC)
