I’m using Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 9.0. I’ve done a few videos with this software, but I’ve never seen this. I just brought a new video into Vegas. It is about 5 minutes long. I need to use the entire video. No editing. The problem is that the last 45 seconds of audio at the end of the video is missing. I’ve closed Vegas, and started from scratch 3 times, and I get the same thing all 3 times. I can play the raw video straight from the camera (Canon VIXIA HV30) in Windows Media Player, and the sound is there. Why is Vegas dropping the last 45 seconds of audio?

Tried extract the audio with something else and import separate in vegas?

If not, try demultiplex the audio with Pazera Free Audio Extractor and import in vegas.

I appreciate the reply, but that is so far over my head, I didn’t even experiment. I asked the question in the Sony Vegas forum, and they suggested to transfer from the tape again, which I could not do cause I erased it, and they also suggested downloading the trial version of Vegas 10. I’m using version 9. Downloading Vegas 10 worked. All the sound is there.

I’ve never seen anything like this with Vegas before, tho I’m not a heavy video editor, but wonder if 9.0 has a bug that never showed its ugly head before?
