Oh and poisondeathray,
I know this thread is a bit old but for some reason I decided to re-read through it to gather some information on the topic. Now regarding your comment about my "hijacking" other threads? I'd like to remind you that this is an open board, which allows for all registered users to post comments and/or questions on whatever thread they choose to do so. This includes ALL threads written by anyone. As long as the posts are relevant to the topic and do not contain profanity, or are not insulting (or border-line insulting like yours have been), people are allowed to post on WHICHEVER thread they feel like it. Only a moderator (which I absolutely doubt you are) can tell someone what to post or what not to post.
I did not "hijack" any post (whatever THAT means). I piggybacked on the post since the topic discussed was relevant to the issue that I was having. You have no right to tell me what to post or where to post it. You do not have the right to tell me whether or not I should "continue on my own thread". That is my decision. You don't know me and you're not a moderator here. As long as I am following on forum rules, only mods can tell me how to present my posts here. I am a NOOB. NOOBS post NOOBISH questions on sites like these in order to learn.
If you're going to help, wonderful. Otherwise, I think it's in your best interest for you to keep your arrogance to yourself, as this is after all, VIDEOHELP.COM not VIDEOCHASTISE.COM.
enjoy your day.

You come back more than 2 months later just to scold pdr for making a perfectly valid point in his initial reply to you? Why didn't you do that back then? Because then maybe he wouldn't have put in so much time and effort in trying to help you? You have a lot of f***ing nerve saying that to and about one of the most patient, helpful, and knowledgeable people at this forum.
And, yes, you did hijack this thread. Remind me never to try and help you if that's the thanks one gets. Ungrateful wretch. -
I can post whatever I want, this is an open board and you're not a moderater either
But you should seriously re-read that post. It was just a reasonable suggestion or recommendation. I don't know how you think that was arrogant at all... Maybe English isn't your first language? I said :
You should continue in your own thread instead of hijacking others, because there is relevant information you have omitted
The forum rules state to post only 1 thread per topic. You've double posted or cross posted , breaking the rules. But I'm not a moderator, so I don't care.
https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/72386-Forum-rules-Acceptable-Use-Policy-(AUP)?p=284497
But what I do care about is , you've omitted pertinent information (specifics about the source you're dealing with) - so anyone trying to help you out has to track down all your old posts or ask the same questions again. You're wasting time of people trying to help you
Is it not reasonable to keep all related posts in 1 topic ? You've asked the same question in other threads
Cheers -
[QUOTE=manono;2079324]Remind me never to try and help you
Manono, this is a reminder as per your request: never try and help me. -
Quite frankly, except for LordSmurf and I think jagabo, most of you were just arrogant and plain disrespectful in most of your replies. It seems like most people in this forum get off on explaining things to newbies as if the newbies have advanced knowledge on the subject. They're called NEWBIES for a reason. And yes it's true; I'll admit it. I "held my tongue" back then and tolerated the arrogance and rudeness because I was in a position where I needed help. But now I am not in such a position; so I'm back to tell you that most of you are obnoxious, self-righteous, arrogant purist knuckleheads who have very little patience for a person who is new to this hobby.
But that's all done with and besides, I do not come here for help anymore for that very same reason. There are other forums where individuals understand that knowledge does not grant them the right to be conceited and impatient.
