Has anyone experienced this problem and/or know how to fix it. I burned two DVD's that I mailed to friends, and they both report that the DVD's start out all right, but then begins to skip, and finally freezes. Here are the details:

Seven clips, captured through a Canopus ADVC-100. Edited in Premiere, deinterlaced in Virtualdub, then encoded in tmpgenc w/o audio. After encoding, the clips were merged using tmpgenc. Imported into DVDit PE 2.5, and the audio was added uncompressed so it could be encoded as Dolby Digital. Built to folder, then burned with Nero(5.5.8) at 1x on a Pioneer DVR-104.

Two of the clips was encoded using 2 pass VBR, while the other 5 was with CQ. I burned a test disc on a TDK DVD-RW that plays fine on a Sony 550 set top. The two I sent out was on Verbatim DVD-R, and they played fine on the Sony as well. When my friends received it, they reported the problem. One of them uses a JVC.

Tmpgenc specs used:
VBR clips
720x480, interlaced, 4:3 Display, 29.97fps, 2pass VBR, Max 8000, Min 0, Average 6000, VBV Buffer 224, MP&ML, NTSC, Interlace, 10bits, Slowest

CQ clips
720x480, interlaced, 4:3 Display, 29.97fps, CQ,(MAX 8000, MIN 2000, Quality 100), VBV Buffer 224, MP&ML, NTSC, Interlace, 10bits, Fastest

After encoding, I used tmpgenc to merge two of the clips, then merged that clip with the next, and so on. Added the audio in DVDit, and compressed to Dolby Digital Stereo at 384kbps. Added seven chapter points for each clip.

Any input or help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
