ripping my dvds collection to hard drives the easiest way

hey guys
been years since ive regularly ripped dvds, but want to get rid of most of my dvds and rip them to external hard drives. I would like the video files in one file too whether its mkv avi or whatever, to save space but also more convenient when watching it on my tv through wd media player.
i need help as i was using dvdshrink as its an awesome program however it doesnt work with soooo many dvds now.

any help please?

DVDFabDecrypter for ripping....then you can still use DVDShrink afterwards since you are familiar with it.
VOB2MPEG for one, large mpeg2 file.
WinFF for conversion to Avi Divx/Xvid or H264.....Dozens of others as well I'm sure.

the hardest part is the program that rips them...some dvds work some dont...very frustrating

DVDFabDecrypter is the free version so it is behind the pay version as far as updates goes. It should only have problems with brand new releases(under 30 days old).
