  1. Hi,

i have a 735 Mb Mpeg file ( which is the result of a 450 mb file + a 350 mb file + cutting end credits with TMPGEnc mpeg tools)...i load it in VCDeasy which tells me that the CD should have an approximate size of 745 Mb...i create a chapter every five minutes and here's the log (the result is a 845 mb file ! ) :

mpeg stream will be padded on the fly -- hope that's ok for you!
APS' pts seems out of order (actual pts 1129.834111, last seen pts 1129.867478) -- ignoring this aps
APS' pts seems out of order (actual pts 3809.277556, last seen pts 3809.310922) -- ignoring this aps
pts start offset 0.339089 (max pts = 4424.138067)
    playing time 4423.798978
autopadding requires to insert additional 103873152 zero bytes into MPEG stream (due to 376352 unaligned packets of 376353 total)
scanning mpeg sequence item #0 for scanpoints...
    already scanned... not rescanning
pbc: psd size 848 (extended psd 1928)
iso9660: highest alloced sector is 257 (using 300 as isosize)

generated image (377028 sectors [83:47.03]) may not fit on 74min CDRs (333000 sectors)
    writing track 1 (ISO9660)...
    writing track 2, MPEG1, NTSC SIF (352x240/30fps), audio[0]: l2/44.1kHz/224kbps/stereo ...
MPEG packet statistics: 315121 video, 61229 audio, 0 zero, 0 ogt, 3 unknown
    writting post-gap ('leadout pregap')...
finished ok, image created with 377028 sectors [83:47.03]

i don't have this problem every time but only once in a while...

thx in advance for your halp

  2. Your MPEG isn't correctly padded...

Use TMPGEnc to remux your MPEG and make sure that it is set on "MPEG-1 Video-CD" or "MPEG-1 Video-CD (non-standard)" if you are making an XVCD.
