Hello,
I need to capture about 2000 mini dv's in a year. could someone please help me to decide in which hardware/software to use?
As of now I'm using simple mini dv camcorder and i was wondering if there is a dedicated box or something?
I'm really new to this matter so please![]()

More info required.
Are you capturing MiniDV tapes or analog to DV format?
Do you need to log the tapes or analog source for in/out points?
In that case you need fast search/scan/scrub.
Does the capture system need to be portable?
Two thousand full MiniDV tapes would require ~25TB of disc space.
The more information you provide, the better we can reply.Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.
