  1. I made an SVCD with Nero 5.5.8.2's default SVCD settings.

I threw several files in MPG and ASF format (I know VCD would probably have been a smarter choice considering the file formats of my sources, but I don't care) into the tracklist, went to sleep, and awoke to my SVCD 6 hours later.

SOME of my converted ASF files work (Ex.: Bjork's "Cocoon"). Some don't (Ex.: Ken Ishii's "Extra"). It's not the video that's the problem; it's the audio. It's either there and sounds great, or it's not there at all. There is no cutting-in or -out of audio; it just worked for some of the ASF files and not for others. *NOTE: When I play the files using WMP, the audio's always just fine*

I'll put all the information for each of the aforementioned clips below, and am on the edge of my seat for any of your ideas.

You know, looking at them, I can't see any difference between these files that would make one of them work and the other not work. Is my problem bitrate-related in the original files, or what?

    Thanks in advance!

    [example of a working file]
    9.45 MB, 4:24, 320x240

    [example of a non-working file]
    7.28MB, 3:39 320x240

[these properties are the same for both files]

  2. Oh, and I don't know how to find out more information about my ASF files (bitrate, etc.). If you could tell me how to help you help me in that capacity, that would be great.
