I have captured many of my old VHS-tapes with Adobe Premiere Elements 4.0 (earlier 2.0) and in Adobe produced DVD-films which I am satisfied with. I have stored the VHS-tapes.
Now I came to think of what to do with these VHS-tapes. Is it wise to capture them into Adobe Premiere Elements and there as output produce mpeg2-files which I save and then I get rid of the VHS-tapes? What about the quality of these mpeg2-files? When I capture the tapes with Adobe Premiere Elements, this program creates large avi-files which, I assume, are larger than the mpeg-outputfiles are.
