I downloaded some (apparently) divX files, and they don't work at all. When I open them in Media Player, it says the movie is 4 hours long. Up where the video should be there's just the standard windows logo. The audio that plays is just an odd series of clicks and static. This has happened on 3 files I've downloaded now.
I just downloaded the latest version of DivX, so I don't think that's my problem. Virtual Dub, Premiere, TMPGEnc, and the DivX player don't do anything at all when I try to open the file except give me errors.
They're all AVIs. They claim to be encoded with DivX 5. I can't get it to open properly. Any ideas? Anyone? Bueller?
