I downloaded RTMP streams in FLV format and usually I can get AviDemux to open and edit the frame rate with NO audio option without problem...however recently from a new site, all my downloaded FLV files would CRASH AviDemux upon trying to open..and the only way for AviDemux to open those FLV files is to first extract them using FLVExtract.exe and FLVExtract is giving me this message after extracting...

According to the message, I need to crop 8 pixels to the right, how would one do that and with what tool?

    Thanks.

No, the extracted FLV flies are fine with AviDemux, because there is NO audio in the extracted files...and I'm trying to retain the audio from the original files and also trying to avoid the extra steps of using FLVExtract.

    Thanks poisondeathray.

you can add audio in separately in avidemux or after muxing with other tools

1st one is the original downloaded FLV file (Frame rate 1000)

2nd one is after using FLVExtract (Frame rate 78.945528) NO audio

3rd one is after FLVExtract and AviDemux (Frame rate 25) NO audio

  6. ok maybe i'm slow today, but I don't understand your problem ?

it's not necessary to crop , (that's why is suggested only) . mod16 (evenly divisible by 16) is usually more compliant for video and filters - or are you saying flvextract isn't working ?

why are you using avidemux? just to change the framerate ? why not leave the video as is ? or does the framerate cause it to play incorrectly ?

so you're just trying to skip that flvextract step ? I don't know of any workaround , maybe someone else does, sorry

Sorry for not explaining well in the 1st place...

because it's a LIVE stream and such the frame rate is super fast (as you can see in 1st pix, frame rate = 1000) which is way too fast and audio all messed up.

Now, usually AviDemux can fixes this by using the changing the video frame rate option.....but it gotta 1st be able to open these files first without crashing.

OK, so these new FLV files would crash Avidemux and I found the other way round is to use FLVExtarct first and and then Avidemux would open and can edit them without problem (as in pix 2/3), but that would mean the extra steps and more importantly losing the audio.

  8. you can add the audio in separately into avidemux (in the audio menu), or mux it in after fixing the framerate with other tools like ffmpeg
