I'd like to install a parental control program for my little brother. However, he knows how to hack through most of
them. However, I heard of a way to alter the computer's routers or something like that. It'll block out the websites I
don't want him to see, as well as obscene pictures and videos. Does anyone know how to do this?

What brand and model router do you have? Most of them can block sites, but you might end up with quite a long list.
And welcome to our forums. -
unfortunately I think this is an impossible task..for every "known" questionable site there are 1,000's of unknown or sites that don't appear on the surface to be "block-worthy". It would probably be best to have some hidden monitoring software to see what your computer is being used for. If they know you'll know what they've been doing on their computer that should be a deterrent!

K9 is very good. I've put it on several peoples computers and they have been very happy with it.

Hey,try searching for answers before you ask questions.
Anyways, The Aobo Parental control is pretty good parental control. Your little brother probably just terminates the
parental control software, i m not sure if this prevents termination like firewalls, but you can try it out. Also, if you have
a router, you can go to the router home page and there should be options for site blocking. Oh, and a firewall such as
Kaspersky and Norton has a built-in function and your little brother cannot terminate the process, unless he's a
mastermind (doubt it). Just try to keep your passwords safe and unguessable.Last edited by Nancycy; 15th Aug 2010 at 20:32.
