    hi i downloaded avstodvd and i encoded my movie, but it comes up with subs like name and who encoded it previously which is not showing when i play the original my guess is avstodvd ffound it hidden in the dvd any way to remove it ??

    What's your source? mkv? You could always try remove the subtitle in the mkv with mkvtoolnix.

    Make sure you are running the latest AVStoDVD. When you load an mkv, if subs are available they will be presented to you. Only select one if you want to use it, otherwise they will be ignored during processing. Also, AVStoDVD creates soft subs be default. You should be able to turn them off using the subtitle button on your remote. If this is the case, you can disable them completely using PGCEdit.

    baldrick thanx mkvtoolnix works iopened deselected subtitle/UTC stream and muxed it back to mkv took bout 40 secs thenn reencoded and it now just the movie so thanks :P

    Gunsling i download avstodvd and it did not detect and subtitles but it encodes perfectly with no loss of quality using hcencoder thanx aswell . (:
