what do I convert an mkv file to if I want to burn to a standard DVD and watch on my TV.

I downloaded a movie, unrar'd it and now have an mkv, srt, and mht file?? Mht seems to be some sort of document file....

I have toast 10, mpeg streramclip, handbrake, FCP studio. Do I need yet more programs? )

Can I go straight to mpeg2....or I have to do other steps?
    Thanks, J

  2. if you installed the free codec Perian, convert it directly to DVD-VIDEO with Compressor/DVDStudioPro or Toast (both can do it)

    bye
    For DVD, iPad, HD, connected TV, … iMovie & FCPX? MovieConverter-Studio 3 (01/24/2015) - Handle your camcorder's videos? even in 60p or 60i? do a slow-motion? MovieCam.
