Need to know where to adjust motion tracking.
dvd>Smartripper >vob file
vob>dvd2avi>dv2/wav > TMPGEnc > mpeg
I seem to get "horizontal" lines in my dv2 file after converting from vob. This effect in increased with "pans"/horizontal movement in the video. This gets worse after converting to mpeg. I assume I need to adjust something in DVD2avi. Where can I do this?
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays!

these lines are due to the interlaced frames. i would imagine that the dvd is a ntsc 29.97. it looks good on a tv because tvs are interlaced, whereas pc monitors aren't.
you can either deinterlace or do inverse telecine with tmpgenc [which will make your file a 23.97fps movie]
