Hello all, I have no real experience with dvd ripping - can someone tell me if its possible to rip only a section (like 2mins) from a dvd or will i have to get the whole vob first? Thx.
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays!

You will likely have to rip at least the VOB that contains the segment of video you want. If you use DVD2AVI it is pretty easy to isolate a particular part of a VOB sequence for output. Apparently the latest version of TMPGEnc can directly read VOB files now, but I haven't tried that feature. TMPGEnc also allows you to select a source range of the video for output.
