By the way i am using Windows XP and NTFS file format.
WinTV doesn't seem to like files bigger than 4gb.

I captured a tv programme this morning and it is over 2 hours and 30 minutes long at 4mbps using WinTV PVR.
Its been split in 2 files and one is 4gb and the other is under 600mb.
Trouble is when I try to edit it with DVD-AVI the program will close down when I try to save the file.
Tempeng work but there was no sound in produced file and Tempeng won't even open the second file something about illegal mpeg stream.
How do I merge the 2 files together?
Help please?

Does nobody know?
David
Lot of programs written for 95/98 etc don't handle large files very well, I don't know in the case of TMPG etc but it might be worth splitting the file to under 2gig anyway, as for the 600mb file no idea, m/b you need to try one of the file fixers, some under tool section but I've never needed to use them
Later BRETT
I downloaded an mpeg corrector and have used DVD-AVI to split it and now using tempeng.
Thanks for everyones non help.
I will remember it when someone needs help.

I have Windows XP and my hard drive is formatted in NTFS format. Wintv just decided to split the file after 4gb. Was using 4mbps full d1.
Wouldn't have been so bad if the split had been during ad break.
