Does anyone think a Super Video CD compatible DVD player would accept VID encoded in 352x288?...just like VCD.
I know it seems strange but ive been doing a little testing and my encoding profiles at http://www.geocities.com/arwengoenitz/files/tmpgplusprofiles.zip (I hope the link works) produce great results.
I used the 1X drive speed profile and burnt it to a CD with Nero and my Pioneer DV344 played it with no troubles at all.
I know the spec says 480x576 for PAL and 480x480 for NTSC but that appears to be irrelevant to todays DVD players.
Try it for yourselves and see if it works!
