  1. Note to mods: I dont know if this is to be posted here or on a most advanced section so i call for mods to place it where it will be most suited.

    On to my subject.

Is there a way to capture what is happening on the desktop, mush like what happens with snagit and camtasia and whichever other software do this, but stream this content live, so this way you can utilize this as a tv-out feature for computers that dont have the appropriate outputs, and pass the feed via ethernet or USB to A/V Receivers or standalone players?

IS what i'm saying at all possible, and if not what's preventing this from happening?

  3. Thanx for the recommendation. Havent tried it yet. What is the output capture format? I must know so that i can search if it can be supported on the player i intend to use.

  4. Windows Media Encoder will do it. It streams as WMV format and can be viewed by anyone with Windows Media Player (+ others).

  5. It creates a streaming WMV file? Well since this standalone player supports WMV files i guess that will work wont it? ATM though i dont have access to that player to try this out, but i have a good feeling about this. Thanx.
