I have been ripping a DVD and following the guides to get the files in the VIDEO_TS directory just as advertised. When I burn the DVD in Nero 5.5.8.2 the DVD plays once or twice and then the Standalone player says unknown disk. I have used a variety of media all the way up to Verbatim DVD-R. The player is compatible with DVD-r according to all the compatibility lists. Has anyone else experienced this play once type of behavior? It is almost like the Standalone player is damaging the disc. I can take the disks after they don't play in the standalone and they will still play fine in the computer, so that makes me think that it is some sort of formatting issue or tolerance issue with the Raite 715 Standalone.
Does this sound like a ripping problem, media problem (I used verbatim in addition to cheaper media so I think I have eliminated this), or Burning problem, or standalone player problem?
Any help or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
Chazman
