I have a budget cap of $100 (give or take a few), which capture card should I buy. I just want to capture TV shows with the best resolution/quality possible. I would like the files to be mpeg or mpeg2 but thats not really a priority. Thanks in advance.![]()

I had an ATI-All in Wonder Pro 128 (rage chip) it was a BIG mistake. I had driver issues with it for 7 months. ATI new that there was a compatiblility problem with it and VIA133 chipsets but never owned up to it. I took it to ATI (head office is only 30 minutes away) and they could not get it to work without giving me Radeon software. The f**kers never even appoligized after causing me all the grief (thats how big companies are I guess) If given a choice I would NEVER buy an ATI video card again.
I did have to break down and buy their ATI TV Wonder VE though. I like it (wont work with microsoft netmeeting though, MS and ATI dont get along so well) and I had to use a work around to get it to work with the MS program I wanted it to work with (ATI did not help with that).
I have never had a problem with Nvidia. Awesome drivers. -
Well i had a Tv-Wonder for 18months and then got an AIW Radeon 7500 and havent had a problem with either.
