That looks better than the frame I posted. Did you see any comb artifacts (without filtering) as you scrolled through the video?

Please forgive me, but what do you mean by "without filtering"? Do you mean without using the AviSynth script? I think that the jagged lines it's showing now are as good as it's going to get, as the line isn't completely solid in the game. It's not very high resolution, so it has jaggies naturally.

By "without filtering" I meant without any additional filtering in VirtualDub. I guess you're not seeing any comb artifacts after the AVS script so what you're getting is probably as good as you're going to get. I'd go ahead and crop the black borders at the two sides, resize (if you want) and save the results.

Okay, magnificent! The video has really come a long way and I am very impressed. Thank you very much for all of your help, and I hope this helps other people in a similar predicament in the future!
Coincidentally, when I Google for related terms (e.g., GameBridge deinterlace), this is one of the first results that comes up. So, that makes me feel good about anyone else who might get stuck with one of these things, and needs to get better video out of it.
