    my friend scanned his pc with avg and found two viruses. but avg cannot remove them one of them is stupid application win web security that just sits in the right bottom of the screen and always pops out and asks if i want to continue unprotected. its really annoying. how can i remove it,

    1- Find removal procedure from Norton or other websites. OR
    2- Download Trend Micro antivirus and malware engine and the latest defenition, it is free then put it on a disc or some media or create a folder under C drive so it is easy to find in DOS, boot into safe mode or better DOS and run the application. Before doing all these turn off the system restore.

    AVG might work as well, but do it from safe mode.
