When I rip DVDs I often rip all the audio tracks which are most of the time, all .AC3 files. I normally just guess by looking at files sizes as to which one is for the main movie. What I'm wondering is, is there any player out there at all that can simply play back an .AC3 audio stream so that I can just listen to the file instead?

I think nimo codec pack includes ac3 codec so you can play them directly with media player. Or else try install windvd or powerdvd and play with.

i have the nimo codec pack installed and can play movies with ac3 sound no problem in WMP, but cannot play straight .ac3 files. I tried PowerDVD and it played the AC3 file back just fine, thank you very much.
