  1. I am looking for a DPF that will play compressed video. Got any recommendations?

Cheaper is better if it will work. It seems like the technology is too new and untested. I see tons of reviews of people being disatisfied with their DPF purchase.

    Thanks!

I have a cheap Kodak that plays mpeg-1 video as well as mjpeg compressed (standard digital still camera video). The quality is fine for what it is, however it is no substitute for a real player. They are designed, first and foremost, to display still images. Also, as with LCD/Plasma TVs, the real quality comes from the display engine behind the screen. I compared 5 - 6 different models, all with the same resolution, and the quality range was enormous. As a general rule you got what you paid for, with the cheap frames having by far the worst image quality.

    Thks.

What tool can I use to get compressed video back to mjpeg avi format so it will play on the DPF? The multi-converter I am using does not expressly have a mjpeg option. My video is not coming from a camera but from screen recording.
