    I come up with Saturday, December 23, 2006. A neat calculator for this. http://www.timeanddate.com/date/dateadd.html

    Year 2006
    24weeks= 168 days+7days= 175 days from Saturday,July 1, 2006= 12/23/2006

    Unless I made a mistake.

    YY-1 = 06-1 = 05 = year 2005 ( YY = 00 = 1999 )

    I wondered what that -1 was for.

    Then December 24, 2005? If so, I was only a year and a day off.

    If the code was 06377 - then the year would be into 2006...it is confusing

    Now if someone can tell me how to read the code on Twinkies and Snickers...

    Thanks guys ... I have two 120 gig Seagates and they are working very nicely ... I like renaming my hard drives with date.

    That way when they begin to fail ... I will know how long they lasted.

    For example ...
    WD_80GB_12-05-06 ......... Western Digital
    SG_120GB_11-23-07 ......... Seagate
    MT_500GB_07-11-08 ......... Maxtor

    I built a PC for a friend ... not a friend anymore he owes me $160 for a Dell Inspiron 2200 and never paid me the rest ... he is 86 from my life now.

    But I put three hard drives in it and used my date code ... what did he do ?

    He renamed all of them ... Chivas ... no date code ... nothing ... just Chivas.

    He was calling a few months ago ... but he is one of those persons who leaves a message ... Gary ... call me !! ... this is Marcos.

    Yeah Right ... whenever he calls ... he wants something ... wouldn't be surprised ... one of the harddrives is failing and he dont know what to do ... oh well ... should have paid me my money.
