  1. I am encoding avi to mpeg files with tmpgenc for british viewing. The only thing wrong with them is that from time to time the picture goes a mauve colour which then goes back to normal a few seconds later. Is there anyway to correct this and what are the best settings to use. It also makes scenes shot a night difficult to see.

  2. Is it your own AVI or a downloaded AVI? you might try Divxfix tto get some errors out of the AVI prior to converting to mpeg.
