I've burned some DVD+Rs HP 16X CMC MAG MO1 with thousands of photos from a digital camera, the file size range from 500KB to 2MB. It takes a very long time to copy the files to the hard disk, more than 3 hours.
I tried to copy the contents of DVD to the hard disk as a image using ImgBurn and it took less than 10 minutes.
I've scanned the disc using Nero discspeed and it found no errors.
I there an explanation to the slow copying process?
Thanks.

Only thing i can think of is if your vista isnt updated to fix the uber slow tranfer rate bug it had.
I think,therefore i am a hamster. -
Maybe Thumbnail preview, AV etc. Lot of ways to slow down Windows.
Try the old way: Command prompt RUN - cmd.
Then:
xcopy E:\*.* D:\Folder /V /E
E: = your DVDrom driveletter
D: = harddisk
Good Luck!
