I am trying to make a copy of a dvd I own using DVDFabplatinum on my Vista laptop. I keep getting coasters though. The DVD skips at the end of the movie. I use VSO inspector to scan the burned DVD and it finds the bad sectors at the end of the burn. I have used two kinds of media Verbatim and Memorex, but have the same poblem both disks. Any ideas on how to remedy this problem? Any help would be appreciated.

    Peace...

Try burning slower. if the discs are 16x, try burning at 12x or even 8x. I find 12x works consistently for me with Verbatims. Also, don't burn with DVDFab. Write the results to your HDD, and use Imgburn for burning.

I am a bit of a noob, but I will try ImgBurn. The program is not super intuitive though. Thanks for your help...

For DVD Video it is very simple. Select Write Files/Folder to Disc from the front menu page. Brose for a folder and select the Video_TS folder for the DVD. Click the big burn button. That is pretty much it.

I used imgburn to burn instead of dvdfab. I am still getting the error codes at the end of the burn. The disk works though. This is happening at slow burn speeds as well. Using my xp desktop and my vista laptop. Is this normal? I set VSO to check the last sectors first and it is showing errors at the end of the disks every time.

Sounds like you are using cheap media or a media that your burner doesn't like.
