A friend suggested that I install the plug in, but I am curious to know exactly what it does and how it will help me with encoding mostly avi to vcd. On top of that, I can't even get it installed right. This may not be attributed to anything having to do with this forum, but winzip keeps telling me that it can't identify this file and I should download again or put it in an archive. Can someone out there help me?

    Thanks,

  2. make sure when you downloaded it you installed (downloaded) into the same file as TMPGEnc. you will then double click the insall.bat file, this will open dos and install for you. it takes about 2 seconds.

Yes, well it seems like it should work like that, but I think that it is a problem with winzip. Like I said, winzip can't identify the file or something. I am going to try and download winzip again, because I just cleaned out my hard drive and I may have deleted something important, although I don't recall anything. Why else do you think winzip can't identify the file? This seems like a stupid, simple problem, so why is it so damn hard to figure out? I hate situations like this! HELP!
