OK, so I used it (with After Effects 7.0) to remaster some of my projects recently. The first few looked great, but then the last two have had a weird glitch: at a seeming random point, the quality drops off and becomes WORSE than the source file, with more noise and stuff. Now on those last two I applied a photo color filter, so maybe that's the source of the problem? I have been using the unsharp effect to re-sharpen the video at the same time as well, but that never produced that problem for me.
Also, any other tips for using this? Like how to keep the video clear, sharp and also without too much artifacts?
Thanks a bunch.
EDIT: Update. I rendered the file without the color filter, but it didn't change anything...about 3 minutes in (5-minute file) it suddenly went all noisy again. I guess the next thing to try is to render it in chunks and join them together...
EDIT 2: OK, so rendering in chunks worked for the first file, so I set up several other ones in the render queue. Did it overnight, but one of them is still coming out terribly. Could it be that I am running out of RAM or something? I don't know. Maybe I should only do like two at a time before a restart. This is very time-consuming and frustrating, though...
