I would like to share the results of my experiments for capturing HDV with Canon XH A1
The following combination seems to be the best:
Load preset
HDV 1080i25 (50i) – (50i)is indicated in the window of the Canon
Custom setting
General – editing mode - desktop
Capture – HDV capture
Video rendering – File format – uncompressed 10 bits
Save file name
Starting capturing I made the following setting:
HDV format
Device control options:
Video standard NTSC
Device brand Canon
Device type: there is not an option for the model XH A1, instead automatically appears Optura
I made experiment with it and also with Standard – could not see any difference.
During the capturing I observed uneven movement of the time indicator. The captured file is of a good quality when static and zoom, but is rather blurred when there is a movement of the camera in various directions. How to overcome it?
