    I downloaded lord of the ring cd1 and cd2 with about 698mb - 700mb , when i convert it, however the size jumped to 1.25 gb! how do i conver so it will only fit 2 cds??

    Probably..Try this..
    http://www.vcdhelp.com/dvdplayers.php
    Type in your DVD model and name and see what kind of report comes up(ie:compatability with VCd ,SVCD,Bitrates etc,etc)

    the lord of the rings u have is a divx DVD rip ..... when u make it a vcd or svcd, it encodes it into a different format which explains the size difference. i got a svcd version of the DVD rip and its on 4 cd's, great quality though!
