Maybe nothing because this is no real standard and not all players will play it correct.

Did you first patch the svcd when importing it and the patch it back before burning?

  3. hey baldrick,
it might not be the file or dvd player, but a problem with spruceup itself. the clips play fine when made with spruceup but its the menus that are screwed(pioneer decks allow you to override the menus by pushing stop, and then the "next' button). making the same kind of disc in sonicdvdit works fine. I came up with a hybrid idea of coming the two (see post reason why you get errors using sprcueup for vcd on dvd content)--thanks

I have the same problem with my Pioneer 343. Somehow the first
DVD-RW I made with Spruce up I had two clips behind each other and it played fine. So I made the menu and that's where it started and I also got similar problems like you describe. Tried a couple of things but could not get it going. Seems to be related to the menu though like others suggested.
