My younger sister want to buy a laptop. She want to have something that is light convenient for her to take along with. She mainly use it for internet surfing, movies, music, little game, it is better to have the webcam and microphone, she like to talk with her friends. She can pay at most $1000, no more. We are now looking at the HP Pavilion tx1000z 12":
    AMD Turion(TM) 64 X2 Dual-Core 2.0 GHz, 2GB, 160GB, webcam,microphone.
We think this is the best one we can find at the moment, and the price is accptable for $804:

But still she want me to ask for some more suggestions, maybe you can give her some better choices.

You can find several deals any given week for equivalent models. It's just a matter of choosing what meets your needs. I personally don't like HP (though I haven't used their laptops), but that is just my preference. You may want to actually go into the store and look at the different models, you may also find better deals.

For Christmas, we picked up a Sony Vaio for my wife. The hardware specs were similair (2.2ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD), no webcam, but it has a 14.1" WS. It was "last years" model and was marked down, out the door, after tax and with an extended warranty, total cost was under $750.

Her list really allows her to buy just about any laptop she can afford.

Dual core is unnecessary, as is more than 1gb of memory. Pick the size and weight. If it doesn;t have a built-in webcam USB webcams are cheap and superior, Everything has a microphone jack and if she really spends time talking to friends with the computer a bluetooth headset is preferable.

Pick something she likes the look of, can read the screen on and can carry. A excellent shopper can pay under $500. and meet her requirements. Realistically a $1000 price limit allows unlimited self indulgence.

As for the specific machine, I wouldn't pay $800 for a Turion-based computer - they are low end.

Long time no see, thanks all for your inputs, that's very kind of you. Possibly she will pick up a Dell, anyway your knowledgeable inputs can be helpful to me in future.
    Thanks.......
