    I have authored and burnt a dvdr with Ulead DVD factory and it worked fine on my Sony 725, When I burn another film It would not play,The difference is the first one was an avi ripped from a divix file then rencoded using Tmpeg as a DVDhigh q file, the second one was a file captured as a DVD file with DVD factory and burnt in the same way but refuses to play, says cannot play this disc. Any ideas?.

    Maybe just a bad burn or bad media.

    Same disc manufacturer several discs burnt in the same way. It was infact a Divx originally in 320X240 rencoded to DVD mpeg 2
