I have previously used Mac the Ripper with no problems at all. I am still on the same computer and have not changed anything to the best of my knowlege, however now MTR will not work for me. I put in a dvd and it says
    "Can't open VMG info"
    "Can't read title set info"
    and similar errors.

I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it, and I also got the newest version and it does the same thing. It's not just the dvds I am using because I tried ripping ones that I have previously ripped successfully but they won't work either.

    Can anyone help me?

First things first. Are you able to play the original DVD on that same computer? How about other DVDs? If not, the problem is not MTR. Maybe the optical drive has a problem.

If you can play those DVDs, but MTR still chokes, do you have enough free disk space? Have you verified that your HD is in fact healthy (run Disk Utility or some other tool)?

spunkyc, you never did answer geezerbuttz's question if you donated to get the latest version or is that why you came over here to ask the same question? Just wondering.

I am able to play the original dvd as well as other dvds, and lots of free disk space. I've run the disk utility a couple times after deleting mtr 2.6.6 and after installing it again. I don't know what's left to do.

lawnman -- i am not quite sure what you mean? i was never asked about that?

Spunky, you can get that error from 2.6.6 with some of
the newer copy protected DVDs. Poor old 2.6.6 gets confused.

    Donate and get V3.

Yes, are you sure you got MTR v3.0r14f?
This sounds like a a common problem
reported on the forums for MTR.
An advanced form of Puppetlock 2
    IIRC, that GB fixed.
