i have 1 vob file, i need to convert this to dvd format (like AUDIO TS and VIDEO TS folder).

i have tried loading the file with ConvertX , no luck says the file is not an A/V file format.

I tried loading it up in Nero 7.8 (DVD VIDEO), no luck either.

Tried DVD SHRINK, cannot load the file.

AVIDEMUX.. cannot figure out this program to convert it.

whats the easiest way to get this done? thanks in advance..

How big is the VOB file ?
    How was it created ?

If the VOB file contains a single video and is smaller than 1000 MB, you can create the missing IFO and BUP files with IFOEdit.

Otherwise you can use VOB2MPG to extract the mpg files and see if ConvertXtoDVD will play with those.

I have suspicions about the quality of the VOB and just how compliant it is, given so many tools don't want to play with it, so I would start with VOB2MPG and re-authoring.

    the vob is 1.88GB.
i joined a bunch of vobs to make 1 vob file instead of 8 parts that it was initially posted in on the net. vob plays fine, sync etc .. i merge the vobs using a program called vobmerge i think.

i'll try VOB2MPG thanks.. or maybe upgrade to the latest ConvertX ( i see they have new version out) and it states that it should handle vob files.

You don't convert it, you author it. Use TDA.

Congratulations. You're re-converting it needlessly and losing quality each time. Why not just author it like I said to do?
