I have my family album, video avi clips playing on my standalone dvd player.
The problem is the full screen function.
All my clips are at 320 x 240 resolution, play fine and all in full screen on my pc , but
keep changing on my external dvd player.
Can anyone tell me why I do not always get full screen on some of these clips ?
Its weird because if I start viewing the clips at different intervals then either they are
a little to high and a black gap down the bottom, and or
a little to low with a black gap up the top.
This is really anoying as all I want is to view them at full screen. Some clips do
show up as full screen.
So why would some show up non-full screen and others at full screen ?
Is there any fix for this ?

How are you encoding them ?
It sounds like they may not have consistent aspect ratios set in the clips. You can check this (and change it if necessary) with mpeg4modifier is they are Divx/Xvid avi files. Make them all 1:1 PAR if they are not.Read my blog here.

thank u for your reply.
First I thought it was only the ones I encoded with media wizard
editor, because the ones I did with virtual dub had no problems.
I will now check all the 1:1 par settings on my devices & settings.
