I am a professional video producer. Because of a power cut, I have lost some very valuable footage recorded live during an event. I was recording on a Sony RDR HX1010, and the power cut stopped the device abrubtly, hence no idex created (though the footage is certainly on the disk). I was able to dump the disk block by block, onto a binary file, but I cannot make sense of the file structure, or recognize video information. Could anyone help, with info on Sony's filesystems, video encoders, or with software that may be able to process that file and extract the video clips?

    thanx

I would suggest CDRoller is the better option, given this is data from a HDD, not trying to get it back from a DVD.
