  1. I recently bought a new HDD and it's a pain to copy from dvd (data) to this hdd.

My previous hdd was ok for this task until I found out there were lots of missing bits of the copied files on the hdd especially with files coming from my data dvds .

If i copy from dvd to internal hdd & then to the external = no problem

Anybody is experiencing this problem (?), i feel lonely right now.

My dvd player is like brand new in my eyes since i don't really use it that much.Plus i've cleaned up the lens with a special cd not so long ago.

    Thanks for your inputs

It could be several different issues. The most lkely would be a driver or conflict with the external HDD connection. This problem typically occurs with external USB drives. Fixes can be as simple as updating the USB drivers, a new USB cable, and removing any other USB devices when using the HDD.
