    is it possible to interupt and conversion process in TMPG Encoder and finish it later?

    You can only stop TMPG using CPU by going to Help >> About.

    Just hit the stop button, but don't answer the yes or no pop up question. That will pause it. I do that a good bit when I need the computer power back, halfway thru an encode.
