I am used to borrow some VCDs from a video library. Some VCDs are running best and some of VCDs won't play by my Computer. I am using a Mechine with Celeron 1.7Ghs 256 Mb Ram and Operation System is Windows XP. It has ASUS DVD player and SONY DVD Writer. It will explore the files and folders for some disks and for some disks it explores blank window.

Please help me to get these disks run on my machine.

    Thanks.

You might try playing just the AVSEQnn.DAT file from the VCD with a program like VLC Media Player. It's been reported in the past here that some VCDs from India have a type of almost 'unbreakable' copy protection. It's possible this also affects computer playback. You may have something similar. Have you tried to play any on a set top DVD player?

    And welcome to our forums.

Redwudz is correct. I would guess that you have Indian VCDs. They are designed to not play on PCs with the idea being that if you can't play them, you can't copy them. There has been some discussion in the past in the VCD/SVCD Forum about these discs, but not a lot.
Here's a link to a discussion about the copy protection used.

Look for Cornucopia's post, which describes what he thinks is being done on these discs. If your technical skills aren't excellent, you're going to have problems playing these on a PC. If you have a standalone VCD or DVD player, you should be able to play them there.
