    Hi all,

What will Nero actually do if you asked it to re-encode the video file when it complains about his error?

"stream encoding which is invalid for a [Super] Video-CD"

will it do the reencoding while burning? or before it insert the mpeg on the track list? I ask this because I've read on Authoring guides that if let Nero re-encode the video file it will take a while, but when I let it re-encode it was less than a minute.

Did it actually fixed my video files?

    Please help!!!!

    Thanks in advance

don't let nero encode your file as nero is crap at encoding.
if you want to make svcd compliant files encode with tmpgenc using the svcd template.

It creates crap - You proberly didn't create a compliant SVCD stream - your fault.

don't know about that, while Nero isn't no longer my favourite for a long time, but you may expect that Nero will create a crappy mpeg, you better should use a correct template (one of the compliant SVCD's) in TMPGenc, then retry.

I would try burning it first by turning off compliance in Nero. This has always worked for me (and will save you however many hours it takes to re-encode).

lizzoqops, I've already tried burning it by turning off the compliance in Nero, the VCD plays fine in my PC but not on my standalone player, although it plays, the sound and video are jumpy or slow.

I tried using TMPGenc and used "Simple Multiplex" for the mpegs that I've got. Then tried to add the resulting mpeg on Nero again, this time Nero did not complain, does this mean the video file is now valid? and will play fine on my stand alone player?

    Thanks
