Hi,
I've imported a video in Premiere, but when I play it, it's not fluid. How can I fix this?
Notice: the video is fluid when I play it with Windows Media Player.
Thanks

What format is the video? If it's AVI, use GSpot to get details of the file and post a screenshot here - there's more than one type of AVI and Premiere doesn't work with all of them
What version of Premiere are you using? There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.

Hi etibo
It is absolutely normal that video and sometimes audio in Premiere is not fluid. But it will be OK when you play it, after editing and/or transcoding in MPEG2, in any other (software or hardware) players. -
MPeg2 or other compressed formats* behave this way until you render the timeline.
Try "Render Work Area" for a part of the clip (using yellow bar) to see the difference.
The full timeline needs to be rendered before you can use "preview" under "timeline".
* If these are "supported formats" they should play real time in the "source" window.
