I need to change an IMG file to something that can be read in my dvd player.
I was told that I could just burn the file to a dvd and then play it in my dvd player, but apparently my dvd player can't read it. Can anyone help, please?
    Cheers

Imgburn will burn the img file correctly. What you have is an image of the original disc. You need to burn the content of that image, not the img file itself. Imgburn will do that for you.

You should open/import the .img in the burning app and then burn it...with for example imgburn. If it still wont work please give us more information, like what files you see on the dvd?

If you put the disk you made into your PC, what shows up when you click on it in Windows Explorer?? My guess is you'll see the single IMG file ... indicating you burnt the FILE on to a DATA disk rather then burning the IMAGE itself.

Using Nero?? Try the BURN IMAGE option (under the RECORDER menu I think)

Or try the (freeware) IMGBURN program (switch to WRITE on the MODE menu)
