  2. There are so many posts on this question that I am surprised you haven't found an answer to satisfy you. Firstly, what format is the file? If you just want to burn it to a disc, you need a burning program. Nero is great for that. You will need to burn audio and video folders to the disc to watch it on a DVD player, so how to create such folders? Well, you need an authoring program. Nero has this ability, but I don't use it. Womble Video Wizard (which I use for editing) has this ability too, but I choose to use TMPEG DVD Author Pro. All of them like to import various file types, but I usually stick with mpg format. Are you with me so far?

    1. Transfer file to PC
    2. Have it in a file format you can use (ie. mpg - you can easily convert files like VOB and VRO to MPG simply by changing the extension to MPG)
    3. Import the file into Nero, Womble, DVD Author Pro, etc and build the DVD file folders (ie. audio_TS & video_TS get created - audio folder is empty, but is required for playback on DVD player)
    4. Burn the two files onto a disc that your player will play (most players will play just about any disc type these days, but there are limitations; DL-R for example won't play on many still)
    5. Voila! Play on your DVD player

You can even create menus etc with the programs.
