Need replacement for WMM+myDVD

I've been searching forums for the last few days trying to see if theres a decent program out there that will create a dvd with transitions and chapters etc, thus, I have found myself at VideoHelp.Com.
I to use WMM2 and have found it easy to use(transitions, titles, etc.) compared to the ones that come bundled with the DVD burners I've purchased. After i'm happy with the result with WMM2 I save it to my computer as a DV-AVI file(it takes awhile) then i open up a program that was bundled with the dvd burner (in my case Sonic myDVD) here you can create your chapters etc. I'm still confused on how to make chapters, I've burnt a few family dvd's and dvd slideshows this way,(only with one chapter!!!) Now i find WMM is crashing constantly and I'm looking for a program that's easy to use and will do the the lot!! I'm willing to pay some dollars but it needs to have a free trial period at least. can anyone advise of an easy to use program???

Vegas Movie Studio or Premiere Elements. Both are good entry level editors with room to grow, both produce DVD output, and both are well priced for the features they include.
